Project Highlights

City Monitor for a Fire Department

Map frontend and real-time data

Built the map frontend, data loading, and interactive MapLibre layers for a city-monitoring platform used daily by a fire department. Integrated DWD severe-weather data via WFS, WMS layers for precipitation and wind, polled live FlightAware data, and visualized river levels. Worked in a cross-functional team of five and supported the migration from Express and React to a consolidated Next.js application.

Google Maps – Maps Grounding Demo

Gemini integration and Google Cloud deployment

Built most pages and all AI interactions for Google's public Maps Grounding demo, working directly with Google stakeholders in a cross-functional team. Integrated Gemini and Maps Grounding through Next.js API routes and built the tool execution layer that lets the agent control the map. A custom Gemini Live hook handles audio, sessions, and messages. Also owned deployment to Google Cloud Run using Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and Cloud Storage.
